I rose early to have a wander round and discovered the 1980 Moscow Olympic stadium.
Then later, after saying goodbye to a few room mates who were getting on their respective bikes, one motor and the other pedal to head deeper in to Russia, Dr Tom, Renarta (from Brazil, but lives in Spain) and I visited the Pushkin Museum to see some amazing statues as well as some paintings by Van Gough, Picasso and Kadinsky.
My favourite piece of work was a Tennis Player wire sculpture by Alexander Calder. I like it because of it simplicity and it reminds me of the Picasso one-line animal drawings.
When arriving back in my room I met Ali and then Mike, who are travelling separately but both are form the UK and also going on the Trans-Siberian Railway.
Today I learnt:
That the travelling life is very transient, and quite exciting.
