From Busan to JeJu

Today I flew to JeJu a little island right at the south of South Korea. I thought it was going to be smaller than it is. It took me 1 hour in a taxi to get from the north, where the airport is situated, to the South where I am staying in an area called Seogwipo.

From the hostel, which I have to say I love because of its very contemporary design, I explored the close area.

I started around the market and then meandered down the main road and accidentally found the Cheonjiyeon Falls meaning I had no preconceived ideas of what it would look like, so when I saw the waterfall I was really quite moved. I felt in the moment listening to water crashing, seeing its power and smelling the freshness of the air.

Leaving the falls I stayed in the area to see the marina area and the bridge that led to hill pathway to see the sites of the coast.

As I headed back to the hostel as the day was changing to dusk I spotted a restaurant that I thought may do a veggie option and to my luck they provided me with a slightly under cooked potato on a plate with some melted cheese on top. It reminded me of this video (however, this lady was much kinder and helpful)

For desert I had watermelon which was very refreshing.

The areas of life I am most interested in are great design, the golden ratio, minimalism, Pareidolia (faces in everyday objects), micro living and finally I will be searching for remarkable human beings who use the power of their mind to achieve amazing effects.
