Back to Future Flight to Vancouver

I arrived in Vancouver at 20:50 on the 21st November 2015 which I find amazing because my flight left Manila at 00:50 on the 22nd November 2015! The flight was 12 hours long and Vancouver is 16 hours behind Manila. I think this is pretty darn cool!

The weirdest thing happened at the airport, customs asked me loads of questions and then sent me to another officer to answer some more questions before they would let me enter. I think it has something to do with the countries I have visited prior to coming to Canada, either way it was odd and when I ask what the issue was they let me go. Weird!

It was dark when I exited the airport to first try and get some Canadian Dollars and then find the Sky Train to take me somewhere in the vicinity of my hostel.

Getting off at the Yaletown-Roundhouse stop I used my Ulmon offline map, which has been my saviour as I travel (Thank you Paul for the suggestion), and zeroed in on the Hostel which was only around a half a mile walk from the station.

Once at the hostel I had a good look around and it has some great facilities like I have not seen before. A huge industrial sized kitchen, a library, a games room, laundry and more. It is great because there are lots of people around to interact with.

But first I needed to rest and get some sleep, which I did and when I woke at just before midday I decided to explore the city. What I like most, so far, about Vancouver is how close everything is and the variety it offers. It has Shops, Lakes, Beaches, a Harbour, Big Parks and Mountains. It is a Multifunction City and I love variety like that.

Tonight I have bought ticket to watch NHL Ice Hockey. I am looking forward to this.

The areas of life I am most interested in are great design, the golden ratio, minimalism, Pareidolia (faces in everyday objects), micro living and finally I will be searching for remarkable human beings who use the power of their mind to achieve amazing effects.
