First Live NBA Game

Having arrived in Toronto and dropping my bags at the hostel, which was only a 10 minute walk from the train station, I headed out to explore the area to get me bearings.

I found some good sights including the lake and the main streets. This was all on my way to see if I could get myself some tickets for an NBA basketball game either tonight, Saturday, which would be the Toronto Raptors vs Golden State Warriors or Monday, which would be against the LA Lakers. Growing up in the 80’s the Lakers were big so I was thinking that tickets for this game would be great. Now a days they are not so good and this would normally be easy, however their star player, and NBAs biggest star, Kobe Bryant has announced he is retiring at the end of the season and apparently this is a big deal and means this will be his last time playing in Toronto so the game is sold out. So this meant I would watch the Golden State Warriors, which I now know are the current NBA champions and on 20 game winning streak. The have a star player call Steph Curry and he is good and currently the star who will take over Kobe’s mantle as the biggest star!

With 2 minutes left on the clock the Raptors were 2 points up and winning, however Golden State managed to continue their winning streak to 21-0 with a 109-112 win. It truly was an amazing game and experience. It was worth the ticket price.

Tomorrow I am looking forward to going up the CN tower and looking around the city some more.

The areas of life I am most interested in are great design, the golden ratio, minimalism, Pareidolia (faces in everyday objects), micro living and finally I will be searching for remarkable human beings who use the power of their mind to achieve amazing effects.
