From Montreal to Quebec

This morning I hopped on the Montreal Subway for a few stops to the Berri-Uqam station where I went to the bus stop to catch a bus to Quebec.

The most striking element of the 3 hour journey was hour the environment changed in to a very blizzardy snowy climate and by the time we reached Quebec there was about 2 foot of snow on the ground. It did make for some really nice winter scenery as you can see from the photos.

Once I manoeuvred my way to the hostel and got myself sorted it was early afternoon and I decided to explore the high area of Quebec and look at the low area tomorrow before catching my bus back to Montreal tomorrow evening.

I looked around another Notre Dame church which was very different but just as nice on the inside.

I saw the quebec parliament and city wall, but what struck me most is how French Quebec is, I knew it would be but this is the same country I have been in for the last 3 weeks but this city has such more of an european feel to it with its older buildings and french as very much the first language.

I am so pleased I visited Quebec and am looking forward to seeing the lower part of the city tomorrow. One day, maybe two as a push is enough to see all the tourist sights at this time of the year.

The areas of life I am most interested in are great design, the golden ratio, minimalism, Pareidolia (faces in everyday objects), micro living and finally I will be searching for remarkable human beings who use the power of their mind to achieve amazing effects.
