Hapjeong Area

The quirky Hapjeong area of Seoul near my new Hostel took me by surprise. Once settled at the Hostel I discovered two delights.

A very unique shopping centre that has umbrellas as shelter. There also was the most amazing pasta restaurant where I had lunch.

Near my hostel I discovered a book cafe which was so unique I had to take a photo or two. It is full of manga books, none in english, which for the price of 3000won per hour (£1.60 ish) you can read and use the facilities. I have to say it had such a relaxed and chilled feel. I have never seen a place like this before, with its little cubby holes to hide away and read. I read my book in a very low (4ft) underground compartment.

The areas of life I am most interested in are great design, the golden ratio, minimalism, Pareidolia (faces in everyday objects), micro living and finally I will be searching for remarkable human beings who use the power of their mind to achieve amazing effects.
