Odaiba Area – Tokyo

After speaking the receptionist in the hostel yesterday. He recommended that if I wanted to see a more modern side of Tokyo I could visit the Odaiba area.

I was not disappointed this was much more what I had expected Tokyo to be like, as you can see from the photos.

The highlight of the day has to be the huge transformer robot, the androids and modern buildings all in bay type area. Randomly there is a not to scale version of the Statue of Liberty and even more interesting is that there are another two in Japan. one in Shimoda, one in Osaka, where I am heading tomorrow.

If you want to see the contemporary techy side of Tokyo this is most defiantly the place to visit because it has the Miraikan- The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, The Panasonic Centre, The FUJI tv headquarter and the Sony ExploraScience Centre.

Another bonus of this area is that is has a beach with lots of jumping fish and rays.

The areas of life I am most interested in are great design, the golden ratio, minimalism, Pareidolia (faces in everyday objects), micro living and finally I will be searching for remarkable human beings who use the power of their mind to achieve amazing effects.
